Eilish is a Scottish medium and long distance gold medallist runner. It was incredibly interesting working with Eilish, her partner Michael and her mum, also a highly decorated runner, Liz McColgan. I was taken aback by the level of dedication that Eilish and her whole team put into her career. The film follows Eilish’s day to day life and explores her setback due to injury. On the day that we filmed in Lee Valley sports centre it was a real battle to negotiate the noise environment at the same time as some very tender moments where Eilish opened up about very personal moments in her life.
